Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan’s Heartwarming Reunion Sparks Hopes for ‘Freaky Friday’ Sequel

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan had a happy reunion on a Friday. Jamie, who is 64, shared on Instagram that they met up after a long time. She posted a sweet picture of them smiling.

In November 2022, Jamie talked to PEOPLE and mentioned the possibility of a sequel to their 2003 Disney movie, “Freaky Friday.” She expressed her interest in working with Lindsay again, saying she’d love to share their time at this age, both being 20 years older.

Jamie shared an idea for the sequel on The View, where she’d play an “old grandma who switches bodies” with Lindsay. She imagined Lindsay as a sexy grandma and herself dealing with toddlers as an old lady.

In a joint interview with The New York Times, Lindsay confirmed they’re open to a sequel and are letting it be in the hands of fate. They want to make something that people would love.

Even though it’s been 20 years since the first film, Jamie and Lindsay have stayed close. Jamie sent children’s books to Lindsay and her husband Bader Shammas after they welcomed their son Luai in July. Jamie congratulated Lindsay on Instagram, calling her “my movie daughter” and expressing blessings for the birth of Luai.
