At 72, Jane Seymour Shares Heartwarming Photos of “Beautiful” Twin Sons, Born When She Was 44

Movie star Jane Seymour’s spotlight career and personal life have played out in the public for over five years, and it is safe to say that it has been quite a journey. Seymour is an actress with a wealth of experience and scores of accolades to show for it. However, even more dear to her heart is her life as a mom and the struggle she encountered through that journey.

Seymour has been through four marriages, within which she had four children. Years later, the star actress still revels in her joy as a mother despite her challenging labor of love. The “Live and Let Die” star was all about showing off her lovely family when she took to social media on October 20, 2023, sharing a sweet snap of her and her twin sons, John Stacy and Kristopher. The star mom did not hide her delight as many fans gushed in droves.

The multi-award winner has come a long way regarding marriage, childbirth, and motherhood. Seymour was first married to Hollywood royalty and film director Michael Attenborough, the son of “Jurassic Park” star Richard Attenborough. This union lasted two years, from 1971 to 1973. Seymour would stay away from the marriage institution for four years before she walked down the aisle a second time with author Geoffrey Planer in 1977. After one year, the iconic bond girl became a single woman again. She had a brief romantic relationship with fellow star Christopher Reeve, but the pair had to go their separate ways when Reeves’ ex found out she was pregnant with his child.

The “East of Eden” actress’ third marriage was with David Flynn, with whom she has two children, Katherine and Sean Flynn. David and Seymour were married for 11 years, within which she invested her fortune in a housing market business.

By the end of their marriage in 1992, the screen diva was bankrupt and drained. The “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” actress would give marriage a shot again one year later when she met “The Long Riders” actor James Keach. The duo worked together on “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.” The Hollywood stars were together for two decades, and they struggled with fertility issues. “The Kominsky Method” star and Keach turned to fertility measures, including bouts of IVF treatments.

Once, in an interview with About.com, Seymour revealed how the procedure led her to lose two pregnancies. At this point, the star and her husband were getting skeptical about the situation until a third pregnancy result proved otherwise. She recalled how doctors discovered three embryos that led to the birth of her twin sons, John Stacy and Kristopher. While the former was named after Johnny Cash and Keach’s brother Stacy, the latter was named after Reeves. One of Seumour’s embryos did not form well, leading to the birth of her twins.

However, her struggles were far from over when the twins were born prematurely, after six weeks, due to preeclampsia. Per People, the star mom shared, “Johnny turned blue twice when we got home because we really wanted to come home soon and that was a big mistake,” Jane recalls. “So then we had to take both of them back to the hospital and I had to stay with them overnight, a couple of nights, monitoring them…”

Seymour also faced breastfeeding issues because it was challenging handling two babies who wanted to nurse almost at the same time. While all these happened, the star was still active in Hollywood.

At some point, she had to return to the set of “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and was able to pull through by getting someone to watch her twin boys at night. It was quite stressful watching the twins in the early stage of their lives because they had heart monitors to alert her when they had breathing difficulties. However, John and Kris only grew stronger, and to their mom’s joy, they formed a strong bond right from the crib.

Once speaking on Loose Women, Seymour revealed the difficulty she experienced as an older woman trying to have children. She also opened up about the life-threatening experience due to preeclampsia. Thankfully, Seymour’s twins have grown way past the delicate years, and she keeps reveling in the better times. The Golden Globe winner gave fans a look at her adult twin sons as they enjoyed ample family time together.

In the photo shared on Facebook, Kris and John stood tall and handsome as they flanked their mom on both sides, significantly towering over her. She looked nothing short of blissful, rocking a floral dress while flashing a big smile similar to her sons’. The caption read: “Quality time with Kris and Johnny!”

Fans in the comment section were smitten as they showed their admiration for the actress’ kids. One person wrote, “Beautiful you & the twins❤️.” Another chimed, “Such handsome young men.” One person could not get enough of her glam as they penned, “A lovely picture. I love the print. What a nice shot of you and your sons.” Without a doubt, Seymour went through some tough moments with birthing her boys, but it is safe to say that they all came out strong in the end.
